Dear Brother Archons and Friends of the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate,
The popular political analyst and host of “Real Time,” Bill Maher, on Friday night made a startling assertion regarding Christians in Nigeria: he said that Boko Haram, an Islamist group in the region, is “literally attempting to wipe out the Christian population of an entire country.”
As a central focus of our mission as Archons is protecting religious freedom, this should be a matter of grave concern for each and every one of us. Readers of our former Archon ChristianPersecution.com site know that what Maher said is true: there are regular attacks on Christians in Nigeria, which some have even characterized as a genocide, and yet the world remains largely indifferent.
