Archon News

UPDATED: In Memoriam: National Vice Commander John Halecky, Jr.

Dear Brother Archons,

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of our beloved National Vice Commander John Halecky, Jr., Archon Ekdikos, who fell asleep in the Lord earlier this morning, December 22 at 11:05AM. His contributions to the Order of St. Andrew and the Ecumenical Patriarchate were extraordinary. He served with distinction on the National Council for decades, including in the leadership positions of National Secretary and National Vice Commander. His Carpatho-Russian lineage brought an invaluable ecumenicity to the Order of St. Andrew as he always provided essential insight regarding the Slavic jurisdictions of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Archon John was invested as an Archon on July 20, 1982.

Visitation, funeral and burial details are listed below.

Maria joins me and the entire Order of Saint Andrew in expressing our deepest sympathy to Archon John’s beloved wife and our dear friend Sonia and their dear children Archon John Halecky, III and Nadine (Dr. Silvio Quaglia) and the entire family, with abiding faith in our Lord and Savior and with hope in His resurrection!
