Order of Saint Andrew Establishes New Website On Worldwide Christian Persecution

In accord with the goals of the 3rd Archon International Conference on Religious Freedom (Washington, D.C., December 2017), and as a result of the follow-up meeting of the 2018 Religious Freedom Summit (New York, May 2018), the Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle, Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, has established a new and dynamic website dedicated solely to the timely and egregious issue of the persecution of Christians throughout the world, with a special emphasis on the persecution of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

The new site, ChristianPersecution.com, was launched by The Order on July 1, 2018 and features news articles, commentary and official statements by The Order regarding the horrific worldwide persecution of Christians and in particular, the plight of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.  New content on ChristianPersecution.com occurs almost daily and it gives the reader the opportunity to report on new instances of religious persecution, wherever it takes place.

As Orthodox Christians and Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, our abiding concern for our fellow Christians is heartfelt and universal, as we stand in solidarity and raise our voices in fervent prayer for all those around the world who are suffering simply for believing in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Let us heed the words of our Lord Jesus: “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” (St. Matthew 5:44)

It is the hope of The Order that the news articles and public statements presented on this site regarding the worldwide persecution of Christians will serve as an impetus to governments, human rights organizations, and other relevant entities to alleviate the plight of suffering Christians.
