LIVE-STREAMED: Archon Commander Limberakis to Offer Multimedia Program on Religious Freedom for the Mother Church and Establishment of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Foundation

With the blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, Father John Johns and Philoptochos President Stella Fisfis and the Philoptochos Society of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania are hosting a luncheon presentation featuring Dr. Anthony J. Limberakis, MD, National Commander of the Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle, Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. On Sunday, March 12 at 12:00PM EST, Dr. Limberakis will present a multimedia program regarding the religious freedom issues confronting the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Constantinople, and the establishment of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Foundation. All Archons, Philoptochos Society members and the entire Annunciation Church community are warmly invited to attend.

Dr. Limberakis will review the historical, canonical and ecclesiastical significance of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and discuss the extraordinary and visionary leadership of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, the longest-serving Ecumenical Patriarch in history. His presentation will also include the role of the Archons in pursuing and protecting the religious freedom of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the establishment of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Foundation, the only financial instrument in the world that is dedicated to ensuring the economic security of the Mother Church in perpetuity.

ANTHONY J. LIMBERAKIS, MD

National Commander

Anthony J. Limberakis, MD, has been an Archon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate since 1987 and a member of the Archon National Council, the governing board of the Order of St. Andrew since 1988. He has served as National Commander of the Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle, Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate since 1998. A 1975 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (BA, MA) and 1978 graduate of Duke University School of Medicine, he is a practicing radiologist in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a member of the radiology faculty of the Thomas Jefferson University Sidney Kimmel Medical College.
