Dear Brother Archons,

It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news of the passing of Archon Nicholas Royce, Archon Depoutatos, of Los Angeles, CA who fell asleep in the Lord at the age of 96. Archon Nicholas was invested as an Archon on March 3, 1985 and was an active proponent of establishing the Greek Orthodox Faith as one of the Four Major Religions of the United States and US Military, in keeping with that goal first established by the late Archbishop Iakovos of North and South America. His activities in this regard were entered into the United States Congressional Record on February 6, 2008 by Congressman Howard L. Berman (Read this Congressional Record). Archon Nicholas was a true Defender of the Faith!

On behalf of the Order of Saint Andrew, Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate we express our deep sympathy to his family with abiding faith in our Lord and Savior and with hope in His resurrection!
