Every year on March 25, Greeks in Greece, Cyprus and around the world celebrate Greek Independence Day, commemorating the Greek Revolution of 1821. This year the New York City Greek Independence Day Parade took place on June 5, featuring thousands of marchers and spectators on floats sponsored by an amazing variety of Greek organizations.
