The Archon Exarchos of the Holy Great Church of Christ and great benefactor Mr. Athanasios Martinos visited the See of the Ecumenical Patriarchate on Wednesday, December 11, 2019. He collaborated with the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in the context of the planned renovation of the buildings of the Halki Theological School, which is located on the premises of the Holy Trinity Monastery.

Mr. Martinos paid for the renovation work, having informed His All-Holiness of his decision to do so during their meeting last September. At the same time, he undertook the renovation of the Galata Urban School and the Church of the Dormition of the Theotokos in Tenedos.

During his meeting with His All-Holiness, Mr. Martinos was accompanied by his close associate, Dr. Gregory Penelis, and representatives of the company that is undertaking the renovation of the Halki buildings.

Afterward, the Archon Exarchos of the Mother Church, accompanied by his associates and Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Myra, visited the Halki Theological School.
