THURSDAY, OCTOBER 19

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Foundation Board of Trustees Breakfast Meeting

Board members of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Foundation will gather to deliberate and decide on important issues regarding the Foundation. FOUNDERS in good standing are welcome to be present, in the interest of transparency.

FOUNDERS in good standing Cappella Romana Concert at Saint Nicholas National Shrine

Saint Nicholas National Shrine, 130 Liberty Street, New York, NY 10006

FOUNDERS in good standing (pledges up-to-date) of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Foundation are invited to attend a concert performed by Cappella Romana at the Saint Nicholas National Shrine at the World Trade Center. An elegant reception will follow from 8:00–9:00PM.

Cappella Romana will chant Lost Voices of Hagia Sophia, which is the first vocal album in the world to be recorded entirely in live virtual acoustics. It brings together art history, music history, performance, and technology to re-create medieval sacred sound in the cathedral of Hagia Sophia as an aural virtual reality.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 20

Archon Boot Camp

Chair John Zavitsanos, Esq. and Archon Committee members will address Archons-elect and their families as they are about to assume the serious responsibility to defend the Holy Mother Church. National Council members and Regional Commanders and all Archons are invited to attend and reenergize their commitment to the mission of the Order.

National Council and Regional Commanders Luncheon Meeting

12:00–3:00PM

New York Hilton Midtown

Private meeting with members of the National Council and Regional Commanders who will offer an overview and briefing of regional Archon activities in their respective Metropolis. Approval of the Annual Audited Financial Statements by National Council will take place.

Nicholas J. Bouras Award For Extraordinary Archon Stewardship Award Presentation and Dinner Dance

All Archons, Archons-elect and family members are invited as we begin the evening with a cocktail reception, followed by an elegant dinner and formal presentation of the Nicholas J. Bouras Award for Extraordinary Archon Stewardship to George M. Marcus, Archon Exarchos by His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the National Commander. After the presentation program, the evening concludes with festive dancing and fellowship where Archons, Archons-elect and their families meet and socialize within the Archon family. Archons-elect will be gratis.

The Award is named after the late National Vice Commander Nicholas J. Bouras, Archon Depoutatos, who had demonstrated during his lifetime, and now through his Foundation, remarkable leadership as a faithful son of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and extraordinary Archon stewardship of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21

Orientation Breakfast for Archons-elect and their families, together with National Council members and Regional Commanders, and Engagement Chairs

8:00–9:30AM

New York Hilton Midtown, Rendezvous Trianon & Petit Trianon Room, 3rd Floor

Archons-elect and their families will gather for an orientation presentation by the National Commander who will offer a multi-media program reviewing the awesome responsibilities and roles of Archons, who are advocates of religious freedom and Protecting the Future of Faith.

Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, Order of St. Andrew Annual Meeting

10:00AM–12:00PM

New York Hilton Midtown, Trianon Ballroom, 3rd Floor

All Archons, Archons-elect and families are expected to attend the annual meeting to discuss the vision and strategy to secure religious freedom for the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Specific religious freedom programing, formal committee reports and other items of concern regarding the well-being of the Ecumenical Patriarchate will be presented thereby offering an open Archon forum for deliberation. Archons-elect will be introduced to Archbishop Elpidophoros and a group photo of the Archon Class of 2023 will be taken.

Archon Agape Luncheon and Presentation of Archon Sophia Award for Excellence

All Archons, Archons-elect and families are invited to attend our annual Agape Luncheon which will feature a prominent speaker and presentation of the Archon Sophia Award for Excellence to Capella Romana.

The Archon Sophia Award for Excellence is given annually by the Order to an individual or individuals who have distinguished themselves in endeavors that serve the needs of the Holy Mother Church and the Sacred Mission of the Archons of the Great Church of Christ.

Athenagoras Human Rights Award Banquet

The black-tie gala is the Archon premier event and fundraiser which begins with a one-hour cocktail reception, followed by the introduction of the dais and the presentation of the 2023 Athenagoras Human Rights Award to The Prince’s Trust, a youth charity, founded by His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, now His Majesty King Charles III. His Majesty then founded The Prince’s Trust International in order to share his successful programs and experience with strategic partners in countries outside the United Kingdom, including Greece and the international community.

Cappella Romana will be chanting during the musical interlude.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 22

Matins and Procession of Archons and Archons-Elect

8:30AM

Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, Cathedral Undercroft

Archons and Archons-elect will assemble in Cathedral undercroft for a group portrait and additional instructions. Then all Archons will process into the Cathedral together for Matins, Divine Liturgy and the Archon Investiture service.

Divine Liturgy and Archon Investiture with Cappella Romana Chanting

9:45AM–1:00PM

Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity

The morning begins with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy by His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America and members of the Holy Eparchial Synod of the Archdiocese participating. Cappella Romana will be chanting the Divine Liturgy. At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, the Archon Class of 2023 will be invested and presented with their Offikia and Cross of Saint Andrew.

Archon Fellowship Reception

Cathedral Center Ballroom

Following Divine Liturgy and the Investiture of the Archon Classes, an Archon Fellowship Reception of Thanksgiving hosted by the Order of Saint Andrew will be offered in the adjacent Cathedral Center ballroom.
