Symposium to be held on ‘Christian Populations in the Middle East Since the Arab Uprising,’ April 25

The Order of Saint Andrew’s Districts 1 and 2 will be co-sponsoring a symposium, entitled “Christian Populations in the Middle East Since the Arab Uprising” on Friday, April 25, at Yale Divinity School in New Haven, Connecticut. The event is being co-sponsored with AHEPA, the Hellenic Bar Association of Connecticut and several other organizations and will feature several prominent professors who will address the difficulties and plight of the ancient Christian communities of the Middle East in recent years.

Archons Gregory Stamos and Nikiforos Mathews, Regional Commander (District 1), are assisting in the planning and coordination of this event, which will touch on various religious freedom issues, including those faced by our own Ecumenical Patriarchate. The event is open to the public.
