Podcasts for the Visit of Pope Benedict XVI to the Ecumenical Patriarchate

New York, NY – The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America is pleased to announce the availability of a series of free audio and video podcasts in anticipation of the upcoming visit of Pope Benedict XVI to the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Prepared by the Departments of Internet Ministries and Greek Orthodox Telecommunications (GOTelecom), the feeds for the podcasts are available at: http://www.patriarchate.org and can be played on any portable audio or video player, such as Apple Computer’s iPod.



The audio and video podcasts currently feature a three-part series entitled, “The History of Orthodox Christianity”, a three-part series on Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew’s Historic 1997 visit to the United States and the documentary, “Return of the Relics of St. Gregory the Theologian and St. John Chrysostom” from the Vatican to the Ecumenical Patriarchate in 2004.



Additional podcast episodes, which will include the upcoming Doxology for Peace and the Divine Liturgy for the Feast of St. Andrew, will be posted in the weeks ahead.
