Dr. Anthony J. Limberakis, National Commander of the Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle, will be honored at the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity’s Cathedral Gala on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Guastavino’s in New York. Fr. John Vlahos, Cathedral Dean, together with Gala Chairs Justin Bozonelis, Stephanie Pantelidis and the Host Committee will recognize Dr. Limberakis’ 20 years of martyria (witness) and diakonia (service) as a ‘Defender of the Faith’ for the Mother Church of Constantinople.
Fr. John remarked, “On behalf of His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios, Geron of America, we express our deep appreciation to Dr. Limberakis for accepting to be our 2017 Cathedral Gala honoree. As Dr. Limberakis is nearing his impressive 20 year mark as National Commander of the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the entire Greek Orthodox Family in America is indebted to him for his faithful and inspiring leadership. We look forward to celebrating with him, his beautiful wife, Dr. Maria, their children and grandchildren.”
