With the blessings of His Eminence Metropolitan Evangelos of New Jersey, a Lenten Retreat is scheduled at the Church of the Annunciation, Elkins Park, PA, on Saturday, April 2, focusing on the historical, canonical and ecclesiastical significance of the upcoming Holy and Great Council of the Orthodox Church, including a review of the previous seven Ecumenical Councils.
The lecture will be presented by the Historian of the Order of Saint Andrew Archon George E. Demacopoulos, Ph. D., Professor of Theology, Co-Director, Orthodox Christian Studies Center Fordham University, Bronx, New York. It is being co-organized by Philadelphia Regional Commander Dr. Cary J. Limberakis of the Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle, Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in America together with the Annunciation /Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania.
