In Memoriam: Hon. Tom C. Korologos

Tom Korologos

Dear Brother Archons,

The Archon office was recently notified regarding the sad news of the passing of Archon Hon. Tom C. Korologos, Archon Ekdikos of Washington, D.C. who fell asleep in the Lord on July 26, 2024. Archon Tom was invested as an Archon on March 3, 1985.

Archon Tom’s career in Washington, D.C. spanned over six decades, serving as a US Ambassador to Belgium and as a former member of Presidents Reagan and Bush’s White House administration. Archon Ambassador Tom had an extraordinary relationship with the Archons of America. In 2005, during the first Archon leadership Religious Freedom Mission to the European Union, Archon Ambassador Tom and his beloved wife Ann McLaughlin (former Secretary of Labor), hosted an elegant reception at the US Embassy in honor of the Archons. He also participated in a milestone dinner-meeting hosted by the Archon leadership with the Ambassadors of Greece, Turkey and the United States. He also orchestrated the tradition of U.S. Presidents inviting the Archbishop of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and other Greek dignitaries to the White House to celebrate Greek Independence Day.

On behalf of the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate we express our deep sympathy to his family with abiding faith in our Lord and Savior and with hope in His resurrection!

Ζωή σε σας… Ζωή σε μας…
