In Memoriam: Archon James C. Fountas

Dear Brother Archons,

It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news of the passing of our dear friend and Brother Archon James C. Fountas, Archon Depoutatos, formerly of Westfield, NJ, who fell asleep in the Lord on November 1, 2020. An Archon for some 39 years, he served the Order with distinction as a member of the National Council and as National Treasurer from 1997 to 2018 and received the honor of National Treasurer Emeritus after his retirement. In 2012 Archon Jim received the coveted Nicholas J. Bouras Award for Extraordinary Archon Stewardship in recognition of his devoted and outstanding service as an Archon of the Great Church of Christ. Archon James is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Jean (nee Vallas), his son Christopher, daughter-in-law Christine, and dear grandchildren Rosemary and Noel-Emile.

On behalf of the Order of Saint Andrew, Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate we express our deep sympathy to the entire family.
