The Hellenic University Club of Philadelphia will feature a documentary film, entitled, “SMYRNA: The Destruction of a Cosmopolitan City 1900-1922” on Thursday, January 30, 2014. The film, which features new material from the U.S. and European archives, will be shown at:

The Hellenic University Club of Philadelphia aims to promote learning through their Scholarship Program. Undergraduate and graduate university students, primarily of Greek descent, who reside in the 15 counties surrounding Philadelphia, are encouraged to apply for these grants. The Scholarship Program is the largest grant program among Hellenic-American organizations in the region.
Screenings at 22 Modern Greek Studies Programs of selected U.S. and Canadian Universities in Fall 2013-Winter 2014 have been made possible by a grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
