Centennial Pilgrimage led by Archbishop Elpidophoros, August 8–19

Samsun, Trabzon, Constantinople

August 8–19

Dear Brother Archons and Friends of the Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle:

It is with great joy that I am able to announce that His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros is leading another Centennial Pilgrimage from August 8 to August 19, once again connected to the our Mother Church of Constantinople and the Sacred Center, the Phanar. Reservations are now available.

This pilgrimage will include not only Constantinople, but also the holy sites of Pontus, Samsun and Trabzon. The high point of the pilgrimage will take place on the feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos, which the pilgrimage participants will celebrate with our beloved spiritual father, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, at the renowned and historic Monastery of Panagia Soumela.

This is the third of four Centennial Pilgrimages organized by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and led by His Eminence in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Archdiocese. Each pilgrimage itinerary is unique, but all carry the distinction of visiting the Mother Church in celebration and gratitude for the establishment of the Sacred Archdiocese of America by the Ecumenical Patriarchate in the year 1922.

Once again, it is the desire of His Eminence to have as many faithful as possible from throughout the Archdiocese participate in these pilgrimages, and with good reason, as these pilgrimages are a once-in-a lifetime opportunity, magnificent journeys of faith and opportunities like no other to be in the presence of His All-Holiness and deepen one’s knowledge of and love for our Holy Orthodox Church.

Please see more information about this remarkable pilgrimage on the flyer, and prayerfully consider participating. Reserve your place on the Pilgrimage by contacting Cloud Tours at (718) 721-3808 or emailing stephen@cloudtours.com. Don’t hesitate: this journey of love for Almighty God and His Holy Church could be nothing less than life-transforming.

In the service of our Holy Mother Church,
