Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate Hold Religious Freedom Youth Symposium in Chicago

Archon National Secretary and Regional Commander Gus M. Pablecas, Archon Regional Commander John G. Manos and Archon Pericles Siatis with youth and youth advisors at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Libertyville, Illinois.

On Sunday, May 21, 2023, Archon Pericles C. Siatis, Esq. from the Metropolis of Chicago, gave a religious freedom presentation to youth and youth advisors at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Libertyville, Illinois.

Archons National Secretary and Regional Commander Gus M. Pablecas and Regional Commander John G. Manos from the Metropolis of Chicago assisted Archon Siatis during the presentation, which focused on the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the five key issues impacting the Ecumenical Patriarchate today, and helped answer participant questions. Archon Siatis is a vice chair of the Youth Participation Activities Committee, which was established by the Order of Saint Andrew to connect with youth committees and organizations throughout the United States to fulfill the following three goals:

    1. To establish regular meetings with youth and youth organizations;
    1. To help educate youth on the religious freedom challenges facing the Ecumenical Patriarchate;
    1. To instruct youth on the various initiatives undertaken by the Order of Saint Andrew to over obstacles that the Ecumenical Patriarchate faces.
