Dr. Gregory Papadeas, who is a Regional Commander for the Metropolis of Denver for the Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle, Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, and member of the Youth Participation Activities Committee, has recently hosted one youth event and spoke at another regarding the plight of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, helping to raise awareness among Greek Orthodox young people about the great need of our holy Mother Church in Constantinople.
On Sunday, January 15, 2023, Archon Dr. Papadeas hosted a Young Adult League (YAL) In Your Backyard Retreat in Hot Sulphur Springs, Colorado. At this popular and well-attended event, Dr. Papadeas discussed the work and mission of the Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle, as well as the difficulties that the Ecumenical Patriarchate faces today in Constantinople. The young adults also worshipped at Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Chapel, which has the distinction of being the highest in elevation Greek Orthodox church in the Archdiocese of America.
Then on Saturday, February 11, 2023, Archon Gregory, along with Archon Dr. Demetrios Skedros, spoke at the Denver Metropolis YAL Snow Conference in Midway, Utah. Many young adults were present from all over the Archdiocese. At this event also, they discussed the work and mission of the Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle, and enlightened the young people in attendance about the problems and obstacles that confront the Ecumenical Patriarchate faces. Bishop Constantine, Fr. Mario Giannopoulos and Fr. Efstratios Magoulias also attended.
