Archon Perry Siatis Appointed Archon Regional Commander For the Metropolis of Chicago, Joining Archons Manos and Pablecas

With the blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America and in consultation with His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael of Chicago, Dr. Anthony J. Limberakis, National Commander of the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, has appointed Pericles C. (Perry) Siatis, Esq. Regional Commander for the Metropolis of Chicago, joining Regional Commanders John G. Manos and Gus M. Pablecas.

Dr. Limberakis stated: “I’m extremely grateful to the Lord Jesus Christ and His All-Holy Mother to be able to add Archon Siatis to our roster of Regional Commanders. He is a passionate and knowledgeable defender of our Holy Mother Church of Constantinople and Vice Chair of the Archons’ Youth Participation Activities Committee. In addition to his tireless activities for the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Church in America, Archon Perry is a distinguished legal advocate who champions the marginalized.”

“It has been my immense honor to serve our Mother Church as an Archon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate,” said Archon Siatis. “I am honored to accept this new responsibility as Regional Commander with humility and gratitude, as well as with a determination to support, promote and defend the global salvific mission the Ecumenical Patriarchate.”

Archon Perry Siatis is a FOUNDER of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Foundation. In addition to serving as Vice Chair of the Archon Youth Participation Activities Committee, he is also a founding committee member and one of the Co-Chairs of the Archons’ Pilgrimage of Discovery program, and Chair of the program’s alumni committee.

Archon Siatis is also a supporter of St. Basil’s Academy in Garrison, New York; a member of Leadership 100; a member of the National Hellenic Society, where he serves on the Advisory Committee; a board member of the Panhellenic Scholarship Foundation, where he sponsors an annual scholarship; and a supporter of the National Hellenic Museum. He also dedicates significant time and resources to the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago, including as Co-Chairs of the Stewardship Task Force of the Metropolis, and as legal advisor to the St. Iakovos Retreat Center Board of Directors.

Along with his tireless labors on behalf of the Greek Orthodox Church and the Omogeneia, Archon Siatis is Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of AbbVie, which discovers and delivers innovative medicines that enhance people’s lives. At AbbVie, he leads a team of lawyers and compliance professionals that work tirelessly to help AbbVie discover, develop, and market medicines to millions of patients around the world. He is also a champion of diversity and inclusion. He has spearheaded AbbVie Legal engagements with Historically Black Colleges and Universities and the National Association of Minority & Women Owned Law Firms. He is also the executive sponsor of the ABILITY Employee Resource Group, which supports and advocates for employees with disabilities and employees who are caregivers of people with disabilities. He also serves on the board of directors for Direct Relief, one of the largest non-profit organizations in the world.

Pericles C. Siatis, Esq. was invested as an Archon on October 20, 2019 and conferred with the offikion Hieromnimon.

According to the Bylaws of the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the Order’s National Commander is to appoint Regional Commanders to serve for a period of one year. Each Regional Commander serves as the representative of the National Council in the region in order to carry out the purposes, objectives and principles of the Archons and promote the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Foundation.

An Archon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate is an honoree by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew for his outstanding service to the Church, and a well-known, distinguished, and well-respected leader of the Orthodox Christian community.
