Archon Andreas Comodromos to Receive Distinguished Merit Award of Cyprus-U.S. Chamber of Commerce

Archon Andreas D. Comodromos, Assistant Treasurer of the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and Founding President and President Emeritus of the Cyprus-U.S. Chamber of Commerce, is being honored with that organization’s annual “Distinguished Merit Award.” The Award will be bestowed at the Cyprus-U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s 2023 Annual Distinguished Award Dinner and celebration of the twenty-sixth anniversary of its founding. This Gala event will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the Union League Club, 38 East 37th Street, New York.

Twenty-six years ago, Archon Comodromos was instrumental in establishing the Cyprus-U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Hellenic Federation of New Jersey. The purpose of the Cyprus-U.S. Chamber of Commerce is to promote closer economic and business opportunities between the Republic of Cyprus and the United States of America. From its inception, the Cyprus-U.S. Chamber of Commerce has striven to serve the professional and educational needs of its members through sponsoring lectures, seminars and cocktail receptions with guest speakers.

Archon Comodromos has also served several positions on the Board of the Cyprus Federation of America, and was elected Supreme President for two consecutive terms, from 1991 to 1995. Archon Comodromos is also a CPA with his own highly respected firm, Comodromos Associates, PA, and nearly 40 years of accounting experience. Archon Comodromos serves as president and managing partner of Comodromos Associates, which is based in Paramus, New Jersey. Archon Comodromos was invested as Archon on March 3, 1996 and conferred with the offikion Dikaiophylax. He serves as Assistant Treasurer of the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and is a member of the National Council.

Archon Andy has been involved in many other organizations as well, and has performed indispensable service as Assistant Treasurer of the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Archon Comodromos continues to execute his many responsibilities with an inspiring sense of loyalty and devotion to the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Through his labors, God has blessed the Archons and prospered our work for His Holy Church.”
