Ihsan Ozbek was born in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1963 to a nominal Muslim family. In 1982 he became a Christian and in 1992 he started to serve as an elder in the evangelical church in Ankara and in 1996 became the pastor. He served as the chairman for the Turkish Evangelical Alliance for eight years. He founded the Filipus Ministry School in 2003 to train believers to equip them in their ministries in and outside Turkey. Now there are four Filipus Ministry Schools in Turkey, Brazil, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan.
He is a graduate from Whitefield Theological Seminary. In 2005, he was appointed as the dean of Martin Bucer Seminar’s Faculty in Turkey. He was ordained by the Foursquare Church and he is chairing Foursquare’s Central Asia, Middle East and North Africa Regional Council. He is an Executive Committee member of the Foursquare Global Church.
Ozbek wrote four books including two commentaries on Galatians and Hebrews. He also has written a children’s storybook and has a music CD. Ishan lives with his wife and two daughters in Ankara.
