Mr. Sassyiannis is president of the Brotherhood of Pammakaristos, Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate who reside outside the United States.

He received a degree in economic sciences from the University of Thessaloniki, a master’s degree in Banking Economics from the University of Room, and a Master of Arts in Monetary Economics from Victoria University of Manchester.

Fluent in Greek, English, French, and Italian, his professional career includes vice director of American Express (Athens), vice director of American Express Bank (Paris), regional vice director of American Express Bank of South France, general manager of American Express Bank (Monaco), and senior vice president and general manager of E.F.G. Bank (Monaco). Presently, he is a board member of the E.F.G. Bank (Monaco).

Among the honors he has received is the Chevalier de l’Ordre de Saint Charles presented by Prince Rainier III of Monaco.
