Mehmet Paçacı, Ph.D., is director general of International Affairs for the Presidency of Religious Affairs, Republic of Turkey.  Previously he served as a consular for Religious and Social Affairs for the Turkish embassy in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Paçacı, an expert on Qur’anic exegesis, has served as visiting professor at Georgetown University and as a scholar in residence at Wesley Theological Seminary. He also has taught at Ankara University in Turkey, the International Islamic University of Malaysia, Pontifical Gregorian University, Bamberg University, and King Saud University in Saudi Arabia.
