With the blessing and at the initiative of His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America will present a unique concert, “Sounds of Constantinople,” in honor of the Name Day of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. This special event will take place at Holy Resurrection Greek Orthodox Church in Brookville, New York, on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.
The concert will feature the Romanos the Melodist Chanters Society of Greater New York, under the direction of Dr. Demetrios Kehagias. The program will provide listeners with an inspiring introduction to Constantinople’s unparalleled ecclesiastical and cultural heritage through an introduction to its sacred and traditional hymnology.
This evening of beauty, spiritual reflection, and inspiration will honor His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, the longest-serving and one of the most consequential Ecumenical Patriarchs in the entire history of the Church, whose ministry continues to augment and bear witness to the enduring spiritual legacy of the Great Church of Christ throughout the world.
The concert also seeks to support and bring awareness to the sacred missionary work of the Holy Metropolis of New Zealand under the pastoral leadership of His Eminence Metropolitan Myron, who will also bless this unique event with his presence.
All Archons, faithful and friends of the Church are warmly invited to attend!
