Archons Promote AEP Mission at 2025 Metropolis of San Francisco Clergy-Laity Assembly; Archbishop Elpidophoros Warmly Welcomed
On May 5-6, 2025, the Metropolis of San Francisco convened its Annual Clergy Laity Assembly at St. Nicholas Ranch and Retreat Center in Squaw Valley, CA. This year’s Assembly theme was “Our Faith Can Move Mountains” and is derived from this passage, “. . . for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20)
The Metropolis was honored that His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America was the special guest, sharing in the gathering and offering his Archpastoral support and love for the faithful of the Metropolis. The Archons from throughout the Metropolis warmly welcomed the Archbishop.
Archons participated in the Ministry Pavilion of the Assembly, engaged with attendees, and had significant roles within the Assembly itself. Regional Commander Isidoros Garifalakis serves as Vice President of the Metropolis Council, and the Council includes Archons Theo Angelis, Esq., Regional Commander Hon. Steven Counelis, George C. Demos, Esq., Vasilios Marutsos, George Psefteas and George Psihogios. Archon Steve Tibbs participated in the Assembly as Ministry Leader of the Orthodox Parish Leadership Ministry.
