Peter Karmanos of St. Nicholas Church in Troy, MI, was invested as Archon in May 2015 and conferred with the offikion Ypomimniskon. He was a major underwriter for the 2000 Patriarchal visit to Detroit.

Archon Karmanos has been a major benefactor of the Detroit Metropolis and of the St. Nicholas parish. He also funded the establishment of the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Center, a leading cancer research institute in Detroit.

Archon Karmanos is the CEO and cofounder of Compuware Corporation and the owner of the Carolina Hurricanes, National Hockeye League team.
