Nikolaos Koutsomitis

Depoutatos

Nikolaos P. Koutsomitis of the Archdiocesan Cathedral of Holy Trinity in Manhattan, NY, was invested as Archon in 2009 and conferred with the offikion Depoutatos. In 2004 he traveled to Cuba to witness the consecration of the St. Nicholas Church by the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and in 2007 he participated in the pilgrimage to the Ecumenical Patriarchate in connection with the visit of Pope Benedict XVI.

Archon Koutsomitis has served as President and Vice President of the Board of Trustees of the Archdiocesan Cathedral. He has also been a member of the Archdiocesan Council (2004 to present) and the Direct Archdiocesan District Council Finance Committee (2007 to present). In addition, he has taken a leading role to the rebuilding of St. Nicholas National Shrine.

Archon Koutsomitis is a graduate of the Pratt Institute with a BA in Architecture (1978). He offers extensive experience as a practicing architect, for which he has been awarded many honors.

Archon Koutsomitis and his wife, Maria, were married in 1987 and they have three children.
