Dr. James P. Pappas, Ph.D., of St. George in Oklahoma City, OK, and of Holy Trinity/Prophet Elias in Salt Lake City, UT, was invested as Archon in 2008 and conferred with the offikion Depoutatos. He has served on the parish councils of both churches and also as President of Holy Trinity/Prophet Elias for two terms.
Archon Pappas earned his Ph.D. at Purdue University in clinical psychology. He also graduated from the Ohio State University with a MS in counseling psychology and from the University of Utah with BA in psychology. Archon Pappas’ career has been focused on the field of higher education, where he has published extensively. Currently he is Vice President for University Outreach and Dean of the College of Liberal Studies at the University of Oklahoma. He has also served as an Associate Dean at the University of Utah.
Archon Pappas and his wife, Peggy, were married in 1964 and have two children.
