Dr. Dennis Assanis of the Kimisis Tis Theotokou Church in Southampton, NY, was invested as Archon in 2017 and conferred with the offikion Prostatis ton Grammaton.

Archon Assanis has been the President of the University of Delaware, known for its focus on engineering and the environmental sciences. He is a distinguished educator with a wide range of academic leadership and a worldwide reputation as a scholar and expert in both fundamental and applied studies of internal combustion engines and energy systems, specializing in clean energy applications. Before coming to the University of Delaware, Archon Assanis served as Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Stony Brook University. He previously taught and conducted research at the University of Michigan.
