Demetrius G. Kalamaras of the Holy Cross Church in Brooklyn, NY, was invested as Archon in 2017 and conferred with the offikion Dikaiophylax. His family contributes to the Patriarchal Scholarship Fund.

Archon Kalamaras has served on the Board of the Incurable Illness Fund for the care and medical research of children afflicted with physical and mental handicaps and on the Board of the Institute of Incurable Illnesses in Sparta, Greece, where he works closely with Metropolitan Efstathios. He also has served as President and Board Member of the Federation of Hellenic Societies of New York.
