“We will keep believing that the reopening of the Theological School of Halki is necessary and we will keep trying. We ask our Prime Minister to continue in the right direction towards the violation of human and religious rights of his citizens.”
In recent years Erdogan’s government promised to reopen the Halki Seminary, leading many people to believe that it would operate again.
However, in a recent interview, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey implied that this is not going to happen.
