Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited the White House on May 16 to meet U.S. President Joe Biden. President Biden said, "Today, I welcomed Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to the White House for a bilateral meeting. We reaffirmed our strong relationship, celebrated 201 years of Greek independence, and discussed our ongoing efforts to support Ukraine." The next morning, the Prime Minister spoke at the Joint Session of Congress. Members of the Greek-American community also welcomed him at a dinner reception held in his honor.
