On Saturday, January 18, 2025, the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate hosted a lunch in Washington, D.C. as part of a series of events recognizing the Presidential Inauguration. Along with Archon leadership, others attending the lunch included Archon John Gountanis, former Department of Homeland Security Acting Chief of Staff, Alex and Rebecca Angelson, Alexandra Veletsis, incoming Director of the White House Visitors Center, Archon James Rockas, American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) Director of Strategy & Global Government Affairs, and other younger Greek-American leadership working in the Government.
