His All-Holiness honored by The French Academy
On Monday, March 30, 2026, an official ceremony was held at the French Academy for the formal proclamation of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew as an Associate Member to the French Academy for Ethics and Political Sciences.
An address was given by Jean-David Levitt, President of the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences, followed by a musical interlude: J.S. Bach, Goldberg Variations, "Aria".
After His All-Holiness offered his address, a presentation was made of the first edition in Greek and Latin (1675) of two volumes on the life and theological work of Saint Maximus the Confessor to His All-Holiness.
