With the blessings of His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios of Atlanta, twenty-two Archons from the Metropolis of Atlanta gathered on March 10, 2018 for their annual Spring Meeting and Banquet in Atlanta, Georgia. Regional Commander Dr. Manuel Tissura organized and led meetings for the weekend. Reports were heard from Archons Stephen Georgeson and Michael Missios.

Archon Historian George Demacopoulos, Ph.D, Professor of Theology at Fordham University was the featured speaker that weekend who spoke about the Orthodox Christian Studies Center at Fordham University where one of the main concerns is the topic of Orthodoxy and Human Rights. Dr. Demacopoulos later focused on the Orthodox Ecumenical Council that was held in Crete in 2016 that was 50 years in preparation. He outlined that the historic meeting centered on six topics of study: Fasting, Autonomy, Diaspora, Mission of the Church to the World, Marriage, and the relation of the Church to the rest of the Christian World.
