On November 16, 2024, the Archons of New England, their spouses, members of the clergy and numerous guests gathered together for the second year in a row at the Weston Golf Club in Massachusetts to celebrate the birthday of His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios of the Metropolis of Boston. The luncheon event was well-attended by over 50 people and included the Consul General of Greece in Boston. Once again, Archon George Safiol, graciously and generously underwrote the entire cost of the event which was hosted by Dr. Calliope Galatis. Mr. Safiol also spoke passionately about the need to leverage the significant wealth we have in the Greek Orthodox community to support the Ecumenical Patriarchate and Hellenic College Holy Cross where our future clergymen and lay leaders are developed.

Archon Regional Commanders Costa Sideridis and James Speros organized the event and were commended by His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios who was deeply touched by the outpouring of love from those in attendance. The day concluded with the singing of “Happy Birthday” and the cutting of a birthday cake for His Eminence.
