Archons from the Metropolis of Chicago welcomed His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, March 27-28, 2026, for the Ordination to the Episcopacy of His Grace, Bishop Dionysios of Zenopolis.

On Friday evening, His Eminence presided over the Akathist Hymn service at Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church in Westchester, IL. The following day, His Eminence presided over Orthros and the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy and the Ordination of His Grace Bishop Dionysios of Zenopolis at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Palos Hills, IL. A celebratory luncheon in honor of His Grace followed at the Carlisle Banquets.

Hierarchs from across the United States traveled to Chicago to participate, joining His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros and His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael of Chicago for the ordination. Attending Hierarchs included His Eminence Metropolitan Apostolos of New Jersey, His Eminence Metropolitan Constantine of Denver, His Eminence Metropolitan Theoktistos, His Grace Bishop Nektarios, His Grace Bishop Iakovos, and His Grace Bishop Anthony.
