His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew received the Mayor of Athens, Nikita Kaklamanis and the Mayor of Beyoglu (Pera District) of Istanbul Ahmet Mısbah Demırcan at the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

Both Mayors expressed their sincere greetings for a blessed Nativity Season. The mayor of Athens attended the Christmas Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Cathedral of St. George in the Phanar and the mayor of Beyoglu presented hundreds of individually packaged pitas in the courtyard of the Ecumenical Patriarchate following the Christmas services.
