Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew arrived at Andrews Air Force Base in Washington D.C. and was welcomed by the U.S. Chief of Protocol Capricia Penavic Marshall along with local clergy, lay leaders, and young people of the area on November 1, 2009.
