On Tuesday, October 21, 2014, the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Toronto held a Religious Freedom Conference, entitled, "Reflecting on the Past, Looking Towards the Future." Speakers included: Fr. Maximos Constas, Ph.D., Senior Research Scholar at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, who spoke on the "Historical and Ecclesiastical Role of the Ecumenical Patriarchate". His Eminence Metropolitan Ambrosios Zographos of Korea, Ph.D. spoke on "Spreading the Word: The Ecumenical Patriarchate’s Sacred Missionary Work." Mr. Andrew Bennet, Ph.D, Canada’s Ambassador for Religious Freedom, spoke about "Truth, Dignity and Justice: Promoting Religious Freedom Around the World." Dr. Anthony J. Limberakis, spoke about the "Efforts of the Order to Defend, Protect and Promote the Ecumenical Patriarchate". His Eminence Metropolitan Sotirios of Toronto offered opening remarks. (Photos by J.
