On Sunday, May 11, 2008, His Eminence, Archbishop Ieronymos of Greece and Athens, who was elected head of the Orthodox Church of Greece last February following the death of Archbishop Christodoulos, made a three-day visit to the Phanar to meet with His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in Istanbul, Turkey. On Sunday, both hierarchs celebrated in the Divine Liturgy held at the Balikli Monastery.
