On March 21-22, 2014, His Grace Bishop Gregory of Nyssa, of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of the USA, led the Archon Lenten Retreat. This year’s theme focused on, "Orthodox Christians, Paradise is in front of us. Are we there yet?." The annual retreat was held at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the United States in Somerset, NJ and organized by National Council member Peter Skeadas, chairman of the Archon Spirituality Committee, along with Archon John Halecky. Nearly 50 Archons attended the two-day retreat which commenced on Friday evening. The next day, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated, followed by morning and afternoon sessions led by His Grace.
