On March 14, 2011, His All-Holiness attended and addresses the International Summit of Leaders of Change, organized by the Office of the Prime Minister of Turkey and held in Istanbul. Other prominent speakers included Rabbi Arthur Schneier (Appeal of Conscience Foundation), Isak Haleva (Chief Rabbi of Turkey), Prof. Hossein Nasr (Georgetown University), and Archbishop Pier Luigi Celata (Pontifical Council for Interfaith Dialogue). The session was chaired by Prof. Mehmet Görmez President of the Directorate for Religious Affairs). The summit was sponsored by the University of Istanbul and the Turkish Foundation for Future Research.
