Michael Camarinos

With the blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America and in consultation with His Eminence Metropolitan Apostolos of New Jersey, Dr. Anthony J. Limberakis, National Commander of the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, has appointed Michael D. Camarinos, Esq. Regional Commander for the Metropolis of New Jersey, joining Regional Commanders Cary J. Limberakis, DMD, Andrew E. Manatos and George A. Tsougarakis, Esq., more senior Archons who will mentor and work together with Archon Michael.

National Commander Dr. Limberakis stated: “It is important that we recognize younger, zealous and talented Archons and bring them to leadership positions to ensure the sacred mission of the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate is perpetuated. As National Commander, I intend to do that at every opportunity. Archon Camarinos has been an Archon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate for just under a year. Yet in that relatively brief period, and long before that as well, he has abundantly demonstrated his energy, dynamism, and deep love of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. He and his beloved wife Lauren, mother of two young children and an accomplished attorney are both FOUNDERS of the EPBF, members of Leadership 100 and ONE FULL DAY SPONSORS of the AEP Exarch’s Appeal. They both possess an extraordinary commitment to our Holy Orthodox Faith and our Hellenic heritage, and have already given a great deal of their time, talent and treasure in their diakonia. They exemplify the vision that the Archon Offikion is a family commitment to the Holy and Great Mother Church of Constantinople. I have every confidence that Archon Michael will be an effective Regional Commander in the Metropolis of New Jersey.”

Archon Camarinos remarked: “It is my great honor to accept the appointment as a Regional Commander for the Metropolis of New Jersey. I am profoundly grateful to serve His All-Holiness and the Ecumenical Patriarchate as well as to protect, defend and support the future of our faith. I am also deeply humbled to be entrusted with this extraordinary opportunity and thank Archon Commander Dr. Limberakis for his visionary leadership of the Order of St. Andrew and His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros and His Eminence Metropolitan Apostolos for their blessings and spiritual guidance.”

Archon Michael Camarinos and his wife Lauren are FOUNDERS of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Foundation and members of Leadership 100. In addition to his participation with Archon Engagement Committees, Archon Camarinos has served and continues to serve as an executive officer of the Parish Council at the Metropolitan Cathedral of St. John the Theologian in Tenafly, New Jersey. He is an attorney in private practice.

Michael D. Camarinos, Esq. was invested as an Archon on October 22, 2023 and conferred with the offikion Dikaiophylax.

According to the Bylaws of the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the Order’s National Commander is to appoint Regional Commanders to serve for a period of one year. Each Regional Commander serves as the representative of the National Council in the region in order to carry out the purposes, objectives and principles of the Archons and promote the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Foundation.

An Archon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate is an honoree by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew for his outstanding service to the Church, and a well-known, distinguished, and well-respected leader of the Orthodox Christian community.
