Democratic Republic of the Congo: Another 18 Christians Killed

Christians comprise 95% of the population of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Holy Archdiocese of Kinshasa and Central Africa is under the jurisdiction of the His Beatitude Theodore II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa.

“Another 18 Christians Killed in North-Eastern D. R. Congo,” Barnabas Aid, October 17, 2024:

Islamist terrorists have claimed the killing of 18 Christians in Ituri, north-eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), in separate attacks on October 3.

In one incident in the village of Anditongo, Mambasa Territory, fighters from Islamic State Central Africa Province (ISCAP, also known as Allied Democratic Forces) beheaded 15 people.

The terrorists announced on social media, “Caliphate soldiers captured 15 Christians … and killed them by slaughter, and praise be to God.”

Three others were killed and houses burned down in the village of Ofaye Otto Maber, Irumu territory, on the same day.

ISCAP has been responsible for the deaths of more than 100 Christians in recent months….

ISCAP has killed more than 5,500 Christians in north-eastern DRC since 2017….
