Through the grace of Almighty God and the tireless labors of so many devoted and heroic individuals, the long-awaited day has come: on Monday, July 4, at 9:30AM EDT, the Consecration of the Saint Nicholas Church and National Shrine at Ground Zero will begin.
The Consecration will be officiated by His Eminence Geron Metropolitan Emanuel of Chalcedon, who arrived from Constantinople yesterday to act as the representative of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul and New York City Mayor Eric Adams, among other dignitaries, will be present for the sacred event.
The Consecration will conclude at 11AM, at which time Archons Dennis Mehiel and Michael Psaros, who were instrumental in bringing out this day, will offer remarks on this historic occasion.
The Divine Liturgy will then begin at 11:30AM and is scheduled to conclude around 2PM.
