Dear Brother Archons,
On behalf of His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros, you are cordially invited to the St. Nicholas National Shrine on the Occasion of the Feast Day of St. Nicholas. His Eminence will be offering a blessing outside of the church on December 6 at 3:00 pm. The church is located on 130 Liberty Street in downtown New York City.
St. Nicholas Church was the only building that was not part of the World Trade Center complex to be completely destroyed in the September 11 attacks. Its rebuilding will serve as a symbol of resilience and a spiritual beacon of hope for generations to come.
The revival of the St. Nicholas project symbolizes a new era of trust and transparency for the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America under the direction of His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros, whom His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew appointed last June as the new Archbishop of America.
His Eminence has specifically invited all members of the Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle, Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, to attend this unique and important event heralding the rebuilding of St. Nicholas Church.
We look forward to seeing you at this special occasion.
In the Service of the Ecumenical Patriarchate,
Anthony J. Limberakis, MD
Archon Aktouarios
National Commander
