HarbilasThe Archon office was recently notified regarding the sad news of the passing of Archon John Harbilas, of Mechanicsburg, PA, who fell asleep in the Lord on February 4, 2026. Archon John was invested with the title of Eftaxias on October 28, 2018 and served as Chair of the Patriarchal Green Initiatives Diakonia.

On behalf of the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate we express our deep sympathy to his family and their entire family with abiding faith in our Lord and Savior and with hope in His resurrection!
