As his Apostolic Visit to the United States continued, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew arrived on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Church in Southampton, New York for the Synaxis (Assembly) of the Hierarchs of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in the United States.
Accompanying His All-Holiness was His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, as well as Hierarchs and other members of the Patriarchal delegation. Welcoming him to Dormition Church was the priests of the parish, the Spiritual Advisor of the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the Rev. Protopresbyter of the Ecumenical Throne Alexander Karloutsos; and Fr. Constantine Lazarakis.
Attending the Synaxis of the Hierarchs of the Ecumenical Patriarchate was His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, along with Their Eminences Metropolitans Savas of Pittsburgh, Gerasimos of San Francisco, Sevastianos of Atlanta, Apostolos of New Jersey, Nathanael of Chicago, and Constantine of Denver; and Their Graces Bishops Ioannis of Phocaea, Athenagoras of Nazianzos, Nektarios of Diokleia, and Anthony of Synada.
