On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, in the course of his Apostolic Visit to the United States, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew met with the President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, in New York City.
Also present at the meeting was His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America and the Very Rev. Grand Ecclesiarch Aetios, Director of the Private Patriarchal Office.
During the meeting, His All-Holiness and President Khachaturyan discussed ways in which they could work together for the preservation of Christian cultural heritage. They stressed the importance of protecting cultural values of universal significance.
The Ecumenical Patriarch and the President also discussed ways in which they could cooperate on humanitarian activities. President Khachaturyan expressed his great admiration for His All-Holiness’ humanitarian efforts.
